What You’ll Do:

Apricity Robotics is seeking a Mechanical Engineer who will be responsible for building, testing, and maintaining robot ultrasound chassis. You will also work on the design, development, and implementation of mechanical and electromechanical systems for current and next-generation robotic solutions. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to support the development of innovative robotic platforms from concept through manufacturing and field deployment.

Skills/Experience

Needed:
  • Minimum5 years of experience in mechanical engineering design and product development.
  • Experience working on technically complex and innovative engineering projects.
Technical

Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in:
    Solid Works 3D parametric CAD modeling, mechanical design, mechanism design, linkages, motors, statics and dynamics, material properties, electro-mechanical systems design.
  • Experienced in designing for manufacturing processes that include: casting, machining, molding, stamping, forming, etc.
Experience with :
  • DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis)
  • DOE (Design of Experiments)
  • GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
  • Tolerance Stack-Up Analysis
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical standards.
  • Comfortable using hand and power tools when required.
  • Hands on experience building electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience working on technically complex and innovative engineering projects.
  • Demonstrated success delivering products from concept through to production.
  • Ability to work with cross-functional engineering teams on complex development projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Design & Documentation:
  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation including: test reports, engineering standards, material specifications, technical documentation, project records.
  • Experience creating manufacturing drawings, assembly documentation, bills of materials, and engineering change packages.
  • Maintain CAD models, engineering databases, and design libraries.
  • Participate in engineering drawing reviews prior to manufacturing release.
Preferred (Nice to have but not required)
  • Experience performing Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Familiarity with robotic systems and computing hardware.
  • Background in planning and executing engineering verification, design validation, reliability, and production validation testing activities.
  • Experience designing, building, and running test equipment.
Compensation

Our salaries are based on paying competitively for our size, industry, and location. The salary for this position is $85,000-$120,000 annually, depending on experience.
