What Financial Planning & Analysis contributes to Cardinal Health
Finance oversees the accounting, tax, financial plans and policies of the organization, establishes and maintains fiscal controls, prepares and interprets financial reports, oversees financial systems and safeguards the organization's assets.
Financial Planning & Analysis provides strategic partnership and objective guidance to business units. It leads cross functional efforts to enable forward looking, actionable insights with a focus on driving strategic value that influences key business decisions.
Job SummaryStrategic finance business partner supporting sales leadership team with a focus on winning new customers, retaining existing, driving product penetration, improving profitability and achieving business commitments. This role is crucial in driving strategic sales initiatives, providing data-driven insights, and fostering strong partnerships with sales leaders and cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities- Business partner for SVP and regional sales VPs – driving financial acumen, articulating key performance insights versus prior year, forecasting and budgeting, connecting complex strategic initiatives with financial performance recommendations, and serving as a trusted finance advisor to promote/empower the team to make financially informed decisions.
- Lead a team of off‑shore employees – coach, teach, review and prioritize work.
- Manage monthly performance reporting for the broader sales team.
- Develop and present new insightful reports and dashboards to senior management.
- Build business cases to support strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure optimal financial outcomes and navigate challenges. Teams outside of sales include revenue management, product marketing, supply chain, channel marketing, FP&A peers and strategy.
- Proactively identify and communicate financial risks and opportunities, offering solutions and recommendations to mitigate risks and maximize profitability.
- Build, review and support the sales team financial incentive plan.
- 6+ years of career experience, preferred, with 2+ years of manager experience, preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in finance or related field, preferred.
- Intermediate/Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Business partnering and strong communication skills.
- Data visualization and querying complex data experience is a plus.
Anticipated salary range: $105,100 - $150,100
