Part-Time Community Life Assistant in delivering a dynamic, engaging lifestyle for residents in the Independent Living community. This part-time position (approximately 10 hours per week) is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with older adults and is available to work afternoons, early evenings, and/or weekends.

PRINCIPLE JOB DUTIES
  • Assist in the planning, setup, facilitation, and cleanup of a wide variety of activities—social, recreational, cultural, educational, and wellness-based.
  • Work closely with the Community Life team to ensure programs reflect resident interests and foster a vibrant community atmosphere.
  • Encourage and support resident participation, ensuring programs are welcoming and inclusive.
  • Prepare materials, manage supplies, and maintain orderly and inviting activity spaces.
  • Escort and assist residents during scheduled outings, special events, and group excursions when needed.
  • Build friendly, supportive relationships with residents and help foster a sense of belonging.
  • Maintain accurate participation records and provide observations to the Community Life Manager.
  • Collaborate across departments to support special initiatives and community-wide events.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant education or training in recreation, gerontology, or human services is a plus.
  • Prior experience with older adults or in a senior living environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; approachable, patient, and positive.
  • Self‑motivated and reliable, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible availability for afternoon, evening, and weekend shifts as needed.
  • CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain after hire).
  • Part‑time, flexible hours.
  • Occasional travel to events or community properties located in Central Ohio may be required.
  • Weekends and Evenings required
