Pharmacy Manager - Dublin, Ohio

The PositionThe Pharmacy Manager will oversee the overall management of the Pharmacy and the staff's completion of professional assignments. The Pharmacy Manager will direct high quality pharmacy services and provide medical supplies to customers and patients in accordance with established policies, procedures and laws regulating pharmacy practice.
Responsibilities- Directs pharmacy and operations functions to ensure effective operations.
- Demonstrates understanding of USP 797 standards, USP 800 standards, and current State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
- Provides and/or oversees compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services prescribed by physicians or other practitioners in a safe and efficient manner.
- Ensures that all pharmacy operations, practices and procedures meet licensing and standards requirements established by local, state and federal agencies.
- Prepares prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly.
- Conducts initial and ongoing assessment of patient, drug and disease information to identify drug-related problems or needs.
- Conducts and revises the patient’s plan of care.
- Prepares formulations for solutions/medications and ensures the accuracy of the preparation; may oversee work of Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians and Interns.
- Participates in the preparation, distribution, security and maintenance of controlled substances.
- Interfaces with physicians and referral sources as required.
- Serves as a drug information resource to the sales force and participates in team selling and sales support.
- Participates in and maintains an on-call schedule for pharmacists and covers as needed.
- Completes managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, meetings, addressing performance issues, and approving payroll.
- Completes managerial tasks for direct reports including hiring, training, performing reviews, developing team goals, conflict resolution, and strategic planning.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Full-Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
- Administrative On-call
- Specialty pharmacy or home infusion experience preferred
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
D), or R.Ph. with appropriate clinical experience - Active state licensure
- Post graduate training
- Minimum 7 years Pharmacist experience, preferably direct compounding
- Efficiency in CPR + Care Tend is desired
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
