Patient Services Associate – Shared Clinics

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide patient support services such as answering phones, directing calls, greeting patients/visitors
• Maintain patient medical records via EMR or paper charts
• Assist with patient scheduling
• Perform office functions
• Handle patient payments as applicable
• Assist management in leading the day-to-day operations
• Register and check in patients, greeting patients and visitors
• Update patient demographics and insurance coverage in computer system
• Interact with patients and staff inquiries
• Perform check‑out processes inclusive but limited to co-pay collections
• Monitor length of patient’s wait and notify appropriate party of excessive wait times
• Track and record patient information or program data when applicable
• Schedule appointments when directed

• High School diploma or equivalent
• One year of customer service experience
• Skill in problem solving, and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Ability to convey information both in writing and verbally
• Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations while providing exceptional customer service.
