Radiology - Cath Lab Tech

Profession: Radiology / Cardiology

Hours per Shift: 10

Experience: Minimum of 2 years

License: Active state Radiologic License

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT

Must-Have:

  • ARRT certification
  • ACLS certification
  • Experience in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology

Description:

Traveler s permanent address must be greater than 50 miles from the most central facility to be eligible to apply.

Local candidates will be considered at a reduced rate.

The Cath Lab Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Cardiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

This includes roles such as scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating.

The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, coronary and peripheral anatomy, and sterile technique.

The Vascular Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Interventional Radiologist for minimally invasive, image-guided vascular procedures.

This includes roles such as scrubbing, monitoring, and circulating.

The technologist must have knowledge of the various imaging equipment in use, including fluoroscopy, computed tomography, and ultrasound.

The Electrophysiology Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Electrophysiologist for non-invasive and invasive procedures.

The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, arrhythmia monitoring, cardiac structures, anatomy of the heart chambers, and sterile technique.

The Neuro Interventional Radiologic Technologist must be competent as the assistant to the Neuro Interventional Radiologist for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

The technologist must have knowledge of the X-ray equipment in use, hemodynamic monitoring, cerebral angiogram coiling, vascular malformations, and stroke interventions.

This position requires attending every other weekend and every other holiday.

Call coverage on weekends and weekdays is also required.
