Laboratory Assistant

We are seeking an entry-level Lab Assistant to support daily laboratory operations. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience working in a clinical laboratory environment. No advanced laboratory or testing experience is required, but preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and handle patient specimens/test tubes within the laboratory.
• Scan and track test tubes using the laboratory's specimen tracking system.
• Sort and organize specimens to ensure they are routed to the appropriate testing or shipping area.
• Prepare and organize test tubes/specimens for shipment to other laboratory locations.
• Verify specimen information and ensure samples are properly labeled and accounted for.
• Follow established laboratory procedures for safe and accurate specimen handling.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist the laboratory team with other basic specimen-processing tasks as needed.
