Overview
AWS Infrastructure Services owns design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. It supports all data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment, ensuring customers have continual access to our cloud capabilities. The role focuses on end‑to‑end Infrastructure Delivery for new network capacity in Amazon data centers, driving safety, scheduling, and standards while fostering innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Own resources responsible for planning network infrastructure in new AWS data centers.
- Drive strategy to innovate and optimize deployments and instill operational excellence.
- Manage planning scopes for network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Guide, train, and educate staff on best practices for service owner issues.
- Manage tasks and deliverables across projects of all sizes.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Provide weekly project status reports to leadership.
- Coordinate team resources to support project delivery, including emergency projects, change management, maintenance windows, and off‑hour support.
- Recruit and train to maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Drive compliance with Amazon performance management requirements.
- 1+ years of computer networking experience.
- 2+ years of experience in computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, data center operations, or technical project management.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 1+ years of Linux operating system experience.
- Physical ability to lift up to 49 pounds and work shifts up to 12 hours.
- Experience with computer hardware troubleshooting and repair.
- Knowledge of network cabling, optic types, and test equipment.
- Project management experience.
- Data center infrastructure knowledge.
- Experience in data center design, construction, or operations.

Base salary range: USA, OH, Dublin – – USD annually. USA, OR, Umatilla – – USD annually. Compensation includes sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs).
