Join to apply for the Data Center Technician - Night Shift role at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
We are looking for Data Center Technicians to join our rapidly expanding team. The position will help ensure overall availability and reliability to meet or exceed defined service levels of data center operations. This position involves in-depth hardware and network diagnostics followed by physical repair as well as participating in an on-call rotation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lifting and moving material up to 40 pounds each
- Working in cramped and/or elevated locations
- Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
- Standing and walking for up to 8+ hours a day
- Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, and gangways safely
- Working in an industrial environment
- Supporting 24/7 operations during night shifts (6pm-6am), including some weekends/holidays

Basic qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience with server hardware
- 1+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux operating systems
Preferred qualifications:
- Certifications such as A+, Network+, Security+, or CND
- 2+ years experience in a Data Center environment
- Understanding of storage devices
- Experience managing work priorities via a ticketing system
