IT Project Manager
Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Project Manager to lead and deliver client-focused technical projects and consulting engagements. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and budget, while exceeding client expectations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader, adept at managing both the technical delivery team and the client relationship.
Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery: Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, and successful closure of client projects. These may include IT implementations, software development, engineering design projects, or managed team/staffing engagements.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for the client. Build strong, trust-based relationships, manage expectations, communicate progress, and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
Scope & Resource Management: Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with clients and internal stakeholders. Identify and manage resources, including EES consultants and subcontractors, to meet project requirements.
Financial Management: Develop and manage detailed project budgets and timelines. Track project costs, ensure profitability, and provide regular financial reporting to internal leadership.
Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify potential risks and issues. Develop mitigation and contingency plans to minimize impact on project delivery.
Stakeholder Communication: Facilitate clear and consistent communication between all stakeholders—client teams, EES leadership, and the delivery team. Lead status meetings, prepare project reports, and manage project documentation.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and client specifications.
Business Development Support: Collaborate with the Business Development/Sales team during the proposal phase by providing project estimates, methodologies, and plans. Identify opportunities for account growth and additional services with existing clients.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
1+ years of experience in project management, preferably within a consulting, staffing, or professional services environment.
Proven track record of managing technical projects (e.g., IT infrastructure, software development, engineering design).
PMP certification or equivalent is strongly preferred.
Exceptional client-facing and communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong financial acumen and experience managing project P&L.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smart sheet, Excel, spreadsheets) and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
