Summary

The Director, North America Facilities oversees all US‑based Covetrus locations, including offices, distribution centers, call centers and off‑site storage. Facilities management includes oversight of all facilities‑related operations such as janitorial, engineering, food & beverage, and repairs & maintenance. The Director also acts as Project Manager for all facilities‑related projects, including construction, remodel, design and relocations. Project management responsibilities include coordination and completion of projects on time, within budget and within scope.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage and partner with Site Leaders and/or Office Managers to sustain consistencies across the NA office portfolio.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs for each location.
  • Provide customer‑service metrics to Site Leads to ensure excellence in workplace services.
  • Coordinate internal resources (IT & HR) and third parties/vendors for flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress.
  • Manage changes to the project scope, schedule and costs using appropriate verification techniques.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and, when needed, elevate to management.
  • Manage the relationship with client and all stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop spreadsheets, diagrams and process maps to document needs.
  • Direct and control activities of a broad functional area within the company, including planning, staffing, budgeting and expense priorities.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 15 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a master’s degree; or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in project management and in executing functional business plans.
  • Ability to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completion.
  • Strong understanding of formal project‑management methodologies.
  • Budget‑management experience and proven ability to drive decisions guided by functional strategies and priorities.
  • Excellent client‑facing, internal and written communication skills.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • PMP certification preferred.
