Job Summary

As a Project Executive at John W. Danforth Company, you will be a key member of our senior leadership team, driving project success and financial performance across the organization. You’ll oversee project execution, develop project management talent, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably while aligning with company strategy and goals.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of projects to ensure profitability and achievement of anticipated margins.
  • Oversee project financials, including forecasting, measurement, and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Manage and develop Project Managers and field leadership to drive operational excellence and team performance.
  • Ensure implementation of company project management systems, processes, and best practices.
  • Promote and lead a “best in class” safety culture across all projects.
  • Collaborate proactively with Project Managers to review project status, forecasts, and contractual issues.
  • Coordinate with VDC and shop operations to optimize fabrication, quality, and efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement strategies to ensure cost efficiency and timely delivery of major equipment and materials.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and resource allocation within budget parameters.
  • Drive continuous improvement and ensure alignment with ISO and operational performance standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Proven success managing P&L for large-scale projects (>$10M individual projects and $30M+ aggregate).
  • Experience leading project management teams and driving operational performance.
  • Ability to work effectively with labor unions and improve workforce efficiency.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and strategic decision‑making skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism in representing the company internally and externally.
