Assistant Director of Housing Weekend Services
Develop with Purpose. At Ability Matters, we support individuals with autism and other neurological disabilities in building independence, confidence, and meaningful lives in their communities. We are not a home health agency. We are a community inclusion organization. As the Assistant Director of Housing Weekend Services, you'll provide leadership during weekends by supporting staff, strengthening our residential programs, and developing the managers and team who serve them.
WhatYou'll Do
- Lead Weekend Housing Operations:
Provide leadership and oversight to ensure safe, consistent, and high-quality services throughout the weekend. - Support & Develop Teams:
Coach, mentor, and support Leads through regular feedback, accountability, and professional development. - Ensure Quality Services & Compliance:
Monitor daily programming, schedules, documentation, and records for accuracy to ensure consistency and strong outcomes. - Respond to Challenges:
Manage staffing needs, call-offs, emergencies, and operational issues while making thoughtful, timely decisions. - Promote Community Inclusion:
Ensure individuals participate in meaningful community activities that build independence, confidence, and quality of life. - Collaborate Across Teams:
Communicate with staff, families, and community partners to support person-centered services and continuous improvement.

Purpose:
You will make a meaningful difference every single day.
Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, or a related field preferred, or 3–5 years of leadership experience. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or in special education preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work Friday evening through Sunday, plus two additional weekdays. Valid Ohio driver's license and reliable transportation.
