PURPOSE

As the Director of Strategic Volunteer Partnerships, you are a strategic and innovative leader responsible for designing, building, and scaling corporate volunteer engagement strategies that deepen community impact, strengthen corporate partnerships, and advance the Foundation's mission. This role serves as the architect of a modern volunteer engagement model, creating meaningful and measurable service opportunities that connect corporate partners, employees, and communities.

You are responsible for developing new programs, processes, systems, and operating models that enhance efficiency, consistency, and impact across the organization. Leveraging technology, data, automation, and emerging tools where appropriate, this leader drives innovation while ensuring solutions remain practical, scalable, and aligned with organizational values. You have a builder's mindset, balancing strategic vision with operational excellence to create sustainable growth and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL

FUNCTIONS
Corporate Volunteerism Strategy & Program Leadership
  • Develop and execute a national corporate volunteer engagement strategy that increases community impact, expands participation, and strengthens corporate partnerships.
  • Design, launch, and scale innovative volunteer engagement models that support varying partner objectives and community needs, including team-based, skills-based, executive, virtual, and community-centered opportunities.
  • Create and implement high-quality volunteer experiences that deliver measurable value for corporate partners, volunteers, and communities.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to corporate partners, aligning volunteer opportunities with business objectives, employee engagement goals, and community priorities.
  • Identify emerging trends and best practices in volunteerism, corporate social responsibility, and community engagement and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Cultivate strategic partnerships with corporations, community, and internal stakeholders to expand opportunities and strengthen the volunteer ecosystem.
Innovation, Process Design & Continuous Improvement
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve processes, workflows, systems, and operating models that enhance effectiveness, efficiency, and scalability.
  • Evaluate current practices and identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, automate, and improve volunteer and partner engagement activities.
  • Lead innovation initiatives that improve service delivery, participant experiences, and organizational performance.
  • Develop tools, resources, and frameworks that enable consistent execution across teams, markets, and programs.
  • Pilot and test new concepts, assess outcomes, and scale successful solutions across the organization.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, adaptability, and operational excellence.
Technology & Business Enablement
  • Leverage technology, data, automation, and emerging solutions to strengthen volunteer program management, communication, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to utilize artificial intelligence and other innovative tools to improve productivity, decision‑making, operational effectiveness, and user experience.
  • Partner with organizational leaders and functional teams to evaluate, implement, and optimize technology solutions that support strategic objectives.
  • Promote responsible, effective, and mission‑aligned adoption of new technologies and digital capabilities.
