- - Responsibilities:
Program and operate vertical milling machines utilizing G-CODE for the production of stamping dies, fixtures, and parts;
Prepare raw materials e.g., aluminum blocks by cutting, facing, and trimming to specified dimensions and shapes;
Safely lift, position, and secure materials on machine beds using overhead cranes, hoists, vises, v-blocks, and angle plates;
Inspect finished dies for surface smoothness and dimensional conformity to specified tolerances e.g., +/- 0.001 mm on large components;
Oversee routine maintenance of milling machines, lathes, and surface grinders
