Licensed Practical Nurse, Medical Specialties

• Provide skilled nursing services to patients under the direction of a physician or midlevel provider
• Execute patients’ nursing care plans, including sterile dressings, soaks, compresses, enemas, suppositories, oxygen therapy, catheterization, diabetic care, and pre- and post-operative care
• Provide safe, high-quality patient care, including rooming patients, obtaining and documenting vital signs, administering medications and IV fluids, performing treatments, and collecting specimens
• Prepare patients and exam rooms
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, testing, and real-time documentation
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes or adverse reactions
• Educate patients within scope and coordinate laboratory specimens, results, and follow‑up care
• Sterilize equipment and manage supplies and inventory
• Support scheduling and clerical tasks
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and compliance standards
• Complete assigned duties and special projects; travel as needed

• Graduate of a school of Practical Nursing
• Current Practical Nursing License in the state of Ohio
• Ability to maintain quality, safety, and/or infection control standards
• Knowledge of appropriate procedures and standards for the administration of medications and patient care aids
• Ability to provide care within the LPN scope of practice
• Compassionate, team-oriented approach to patient care

Demonstrates expertise in providing skilled nursing services, executing nursing care plans, and adhering to safety and infection control standards. Proficient in patient monitoring, medication administration, and real-time documentation within the LPN scope of practice.
