What a Day Looks Like You start by prioritizing customer requests that came in overnight. You prepare and send accurate quotations, share current product information, and arrange samples as needed. A mid-morning call turns into a pricing negotiation; you align quickly with internal staff at the Rocknel factory to confirm delivery dates, discuss quality and technical questions, and provide a confident answer back to the customer.

After lunch, you’re on the road for an in-person visit, uncovering new customer needs and new product opportunities. Before the day wraps, you touch base with our head office in Japan to keep cross-border projects—especially those moving from launch into mass production—on track.

Core Responsibilities Engage customers through in-person visits, telephone, mail, and e-mail to drive outside sales results.

Prepare quotations, present product information, and coordinate samples when requested.

Prospect and identify emerging customer needs and new product opportunities.

Provide end-to-end support from new product launch through mass production in partnership with the Rocknel factory.

Address inquiries on pricing, delivery dates, quality, and technical topics; collaborate with internal factory teams to resolve issues.

Maintain ongoing communication with the head office in Japan.

Qualifications2–5 years of experience working for a Japanese company.

Outside sales background in automotive and fasteners preferred; knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.

Reliable, with a strong work ethic and effective oral communication skills.

Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and related tools.

Japanese conversational ability preferred but not required.

Skilled at prioritizing, organizing, and completing work efficiently; able to shift quickly between tasks with minimal errors.

Committed to following OSHA and all company safety guidelines.

Work Environment & Travel Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in designated areas.

Role is approximately 60% office-based and 40% customer travel.
