Overview

Johnson Controls, the leading Building Technology OEM for Healthcare, Manufacturing, Higher Education, K12 and Commercial Real Estate, is seeking skilled HVAC Servicemen to join our growing business. This opportunity offers the chance to commission, service and maintain the most advanced commercial equipment in the world.

As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will consult with them on comfort, building inefficiency and other service‑related issues. You will provide factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA), with milestone recognition and monetary rewards. You will have direct access to Factory Technical Support and be equipped with safety equipment, uniforms, tools, cell phone, technical equipment and vehicle. You will perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, assist Journeymen in the repair and service of centrifugal, absorption, screw and scroll chillers, and recommend solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently.

You will identify enhancements for customer system reliability and sustainability, provide labor and material quotes, and participate in weekend, night, and holiday call‑out service on a rotating basis.

Required:

• Adherence to the company Safety Program
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Two (2) years Commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and repair of three‑phase commercial HVAC equipment, RTUs, heat pumps and fans
• Valid driver’s license
• EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Be willing to join the UA of Plumbers and Pipe fitters

Preferred:

• Five (5) years of Commercial or industrial work experience in the HVAC industry
• Demonstrated knowledge of maintenance and minor repair of pumps, VFDs, air‑handling units and rooftop units

Pay Range: $25.00–$45.00 hourly, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement. The posted salary reflects the target compensation for this role. Exceptional candidates may be offered compensation beyond the stated range.
