Service Technician What you will do
- Troubleshoot and service security equipment such as burglar alarms, fire alarms, CCTV systems, and card access systems.
- Alleviate customer concerns regarding security systems.
- Advise customers and the customer care center on system status and inspection results.
- Repair or replace security equipment and provide the highest level of service to resolve building inefficiencies.
- Act as a trusted advisor, delivering solutions and outcomes during service visits.
- Locate and resolve issues with damaged equipment or wiring; readjust, repair, replace, and test equipment.
- Prepare trouble order forms to report temporary repairs.
- Coordinate inspections and/or installations with police, fire departments, or other appropriate agencies.
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure efficient facility operations, including upselling opportunities.
- Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3-4 years’ experience installing and inspecting or repairing Tyco Integrated Security or comparable product lines.
- Experience with card access, CCTV, and IP cameras.
- HirsCH certificate.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Electrical/Electronic background.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Obtain the Ohio State Fire License within 6 months of employment and maintain it throughout the role.
- Fire alarm experience.
- Some college education.
- NICET II or greater certification.
- Hourly range: $23.00 – $31.73 (range may vary based on experience, education, and market data).
