We are hiring an experienced Lead Diagnostic Technician for a busy, climate-controlled independent repair shop in Dublin.
This is a hands-on diagnostic and repair position for a technician who can solve difficult problems, complete advanced repairs, and help less experienced technicians improve. This is not a Shop Foreman position. You will still work on vehicles and produce, but your experience will also make you a valuable technical resource for the team.

What You’ll Be Doing Diagnose advanced electrical, mechanical, and drivability concerns
Handle difficult repairs and diagnostic assignments
Perform engine and transmission removal and replacement
Complete timing chain and head gasket repairs
Support newer technicians with troubleshooting and repair strategy
Review or check work when technical assistance is needed
Complete digital vehicle inspections on every repair order
Build accurate repair tickets with labor times and part numbers
Use Autel and Snap-on diagnostic equipment
Work on a balanced mix of Domestic, Asian, and European vehicles
Complete repairs efficiently while maintaining quality standards
What We’re Looking For Minimum of 5 years professional automotive repair experience
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Advanced electrical diagnostic skills
Strong drivability diagnostic experience
Experience completing difficult mechanical repairs
Engine and transmission removal and replacement experience
Timing chain and head gasket experience
Ability to support less experienced technicians
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications ASE certifications
Tekmetric or DVI experience
State inspection or emissions certificationsDOT or other automotive certifications
Previous Lead Technician experience
Experience working across Domestic, Asian, and European vehiclesDVI experience is strongly preferred, but training is available. Digital inspections are required on every repair order.

About the Shop This location is equipped with seven bays, seven lifts, an alignment rack, modern diagnostic equipment, and a fully climate-controlled work environment.
Each location has a General Manager, Service Advisor, and Quality Technician to support the production team. The front office handles final parts sourcing and ordering, while technicians identify labor operations and required part numbers.
You will have the opportunity to solve challenging problems, work with a steady vehicle count, and help strengthen the technical abilities of the team without stepping away from the work you enjoy.
