The Northwest region provides care in the heart of the Pennsylvania Wilds. The area provides countless outdoor recreational activities while offering a low cost of living.

Penn Highlands Healthcare is a growing and financially stable healthcare system with 9 hospitals that cover 39 counties in PA.

Prospective applicants will be comfortable working at all 4 of our local emergency departments.

Penn Highlands Du Bois

• 28K annual ED patient volume
• New state-of-the-art ED that opened mid-April 2023
• 44 rooms with 4 trauma bays
• Level II Trauma Center
• 360 bed hospital
• 8,9,10 hour shifts
• 36 hours of daily physician coverage and 24 hours of daily APP coverage
• New state-of-the-art neuro trauma ICU

Penn Highlands Elk

• 14K annual ED patient volume
• Critical Access Hospital
• 12 hour shifts
• Single Physician coverage with 12 hours of daily APP coverage

Penn Highlands Brookville

• 8K annual ED patient volume
• Critical Access Hospital
• 12, 24 hour shifts
• Single Physician coverage

Penn Highlands Clearfield

• 16K annual ED patient volume
• Critical Access Hospital
• 12 hour shifts
• Single Physician coverage with 12 hours of daily APP coverage

Incentives / Benefits:

• ABEM certified physicians $270/hr + $30/hr shift differential & holiday pay
• BE physicians $240/hr + $30/hr shift differential & holiday pay until certified

• 3k + 40 hours annually for CME
