Job Description
American Traveler is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring a PA or compact license and at least two years of PCU or stepdown experience.
Responsibilities- Work in a hospital-based Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Patient population includes those requiring progressive or stepdown level care
- Night shift is typically three consecutive 12-hour nights within the same week
- Day shifts are three 12-hour shifts per week, 7:30 to 19:30
- Weekend shifts are required
- Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not eligible
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Candidates must be responsive and cooperative with all credentialing processes
- Detailed credentialing instructions will be provided by the credentialing team
- Assignment requires compliance with strict background and credentialing timelines
- Active PA or compact RN license required
- Minimum of two years recent experience in PCU or stepdown settings
- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
- Must be willing and able to complete PA fingerprinting and Childline background checks
- Must complete lab work within 72 hours of contract signing
