Position Summary:

The Assistant Director of Advancement Services and Stewardship supports the mission of Institutional Advancement by ensuring the integrity of donor data, gift processing, stewardship, and scholarship administration. Working collaboratively with the Advancement team, this position enhances the donor experience through accurate advancement operations, meaningful donor recognition, and comprehensive scholarship stewardship while supporting the College's fundraising and engagement priorities.

Essential Functions:
  • Supports the mission of Loras College by carrying out all responsibilities in a manner consistent with the College's Catholic identity, mission, and the teachings of the Catholic Church.
Advancement Services:
  • Maintains the integrity of the College's constituent relationship management (CRM) system by processing gifts, managing constituent records, and ensuring the accuracy of donor and biographical data.
  • Manages processing of charitable contributions through multiple giving channels, including online giving, electronic funds transfers, payroll deduction, matching gifts, and other forms of charitable giving, while ensuring timely gift receipting and donor acknowledgements.
  • Serves as a primary liaison with the Business Office and other campus partners to reconcile gift transactions, support data integrations, and ensure accurate financial and constituent records.
  • Supports fundraising operations through reporting, data analysis, system maintenance, and continuous improvement of advancement services processes.
Stewardship:
  • Coordinates the administration and stewardship of endowed and annual scholarships, including recipient communications, thank-you letters, donor reports, and scholarship impact materials.
  • Collaborates with Office of Financial Planning and other internal partners to ensure accurate scholarship reporting and meaningful stewardship of scholarship donors.
  • Develops and implements stewardship strategies that recognize donor generosity and strengthen long‑term philanthropic relationships.
  • Partners with development officers to coordinate donor acknowledgements, stewardship communications, recognition initiatives, and donor impact reporting.
  • Maintains records for endowed funds, named funds, giving societies, named spaces, and other donor recognition opportunities.

General Responsibilities:
  • Provides exceptional customer service to donors, alumni, students, faculty, staff, and campus partners while serving as a positive ambassador for Loras College.
  • Supports continuous improvement of advancement operations by identifying opportunities to enhance processes, stewardship practices, and data integrity.
