Desired Qualifications

  • Minimum of master's degree in school administration
  • Qualifications and certification as set by the code of Iowa and the Iowa Dept. of Education
  • Previous experience as teacher or administrator
  • Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent may accept
Job Goals
  • To provide leadership, supervisory, and administrative skills that will promote the educational development of each student attending Dubuque Senior High School
  • To work closely and collaboratively as a member of the Leadership Team of the Dubuque Community District
  • To collaborate with Senior staff and families and with the larger Dubuque community to enhance educational program and learning opportunities for Senior students
  • To successfully reach the Iowa Standards for School Leaders

  • Develop, advocate, and enact a shared vision
  • Promote high expectations for teaching and student learning and behavior
  • Align educational programs, plans, and actions with the district's vision for student learning

Terms of Employment

231 day contract beginning July 2026, or as agreed. Salary competitive and commensurate with education and experience. An attractive fringe benefit package is included.
