Holy Family Dubuque Wahlert Catholic High School – Dubuque, Iowa is seeking a full‑time business education teacher for the school year.
Job DescriptionTeaching at a Catholic school is a calling. The business education teacher will develop students’ academic knowledge in business subjects and practical business skills, including reading, math, writing, word processing, typing, bookkeeping, records keeping, office procedures, and business communication. The teacher will also foster an understanding of the U.S. business system within the national and global economic context and prepare students to make intelligent consumption decisions and pursue business careers.
Responsibilities- Plan and deliver engaging, standards‑aligned lessons in business education, including finance and entrepreneurship.
- Assess student learning and provide timely, constructive feedback to support growth.
- Create and maintain a classroom environment that encourages ethical, well‑rounded, and engaged citizenship.
- Collaborate with colleagues, mentors, and parents to enhance student success.
- Integrate faith‑based principles into teaching practices.
- Valid Iowa teaching license or eligibility to obtain one.
