Position Overview

Clarke University, located in scenic Dubuque, IA, invites applicants for a full‑time faculty position as the Assistant Director of Clinical Education. This is a 12‑month, tenure‑track appointment. The faculty member will assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum and teach assigned courses. Courses will be determined based on departmental need and candidate expertise.

• Assist the Director of Clinical Education in coordinating and evaluating the clinical education component of the curriculum.
• Teach assigned courses, with course selection based on departmental need and candidate expertise.
• Provide student advising.
• Serve on university committees as appropriate.
• Engage in scholarly production in alignment with CAPTE standards.

• Earned terminal academic doctorate (Ph.D., EdD., DSc, or equivalent) or active enrollment in a doctoral program in physical therapy or a related field.
• Candidates with a clinical doctorate (DPT) who desire to pursue a terminal academic doctoral program will be considered.
• Eligibility for PT licensure in Iowa.
• Minimum 3 years of clinical physical therapy practice, preferably as a Site Coordinator for Clinical Education (SCCE) or as a Clinical Instructor (CI).
