Training Specialist
PRIMARY
PURPOSE:
To facilitate training; to assess colleague career development needs; to develop training programs and materials; and to deliver programs when appropriate to analyze, improve and manage performance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers new colleague orientation.
- Monitors development plans.
- Oversees performance analyses.
- Develops training material, lesson plans, assessment and evaluation for training modules.
- Ensures that the training process is properly coordinated, monitored documented and evaluated.
- Coordinates and facilitates technical systems training.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Supports the organization's quality program(s).
- Travels as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Licensing Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
Experience Four (4) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required to include two (2) years line-of-business (such as claims, customer service, etc.) experience and two (2) years training experience.

- Good knowledge of adult education theory
- Technologically literate- understands support systems
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills
- PC literate, including Microsoft Office products
- Analytical and interpretive skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies
