MSA is seeking a Graduate Engineer II Water to join our team in any of our Iowa office locations (Dubuque, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, and the Quad Cities).
This position will engage in the preparation of studies and design plans for water resources projects throughout the upper Midwest, including stormwater and floodplain management as well as stream, lake, and wetland restoration projects. The ideal candidate will have a thorough background in hydraulics, hydrology, and/or water quality science and will be comfortable working in the regulatory environment.
Responsibilities- Perform hydrologic, hydraulic, and water quality modeling for a variety of projects including municipal stormwater management plans (drainage, flooding, water quality) and restoration projects (wetlands, streams, lakes).
- Write technical reports.
- Conduct GIS analyses and create CADD designs to support water resources projects.
- Direct and manage the preparation of plans, specifications, and bidding packages for construction projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering required; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Degree emphasis on hydraulics, hydrology, or water resources engineering required.
- 1+ years of previous consulting experience in water resources engineering required.
- EIT required.
- Strong preference for candidates who can obtain PE within 1-5 years; PE holders are encouraged to apply.
