Months (possible extension) 1st
Shift: 6 - 2:30 PM, OT hours needed if requested, metatarsal safety boots are required on their first day Important Note - Visa sponsorship is not available, now or in the near future, for this position. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. university required
Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Engineer II located in Dubuque, IA, you will plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work supporting machining, sheet metal, and tool design processes. You will work in a team environment to develop and improve manufacturing processes, equipment, and engineering solutions that meet established safety, quality, cost, and project requirements. Analyze manufacturing information and define the methods, process steps, machinery, tooling, and equipment needed to support production.
Design and continuously improve manufacturing processes and systems to achieve cost and quality objectives. Develop engineering solutions and coordinate feasibility testing to support solution development and validation. Support the development, application, and evaluation of engineering standards and specifications. Inspect engineering work, equipment, installations, or structures and recommend corrective actions needed to meet specifications and regulatory requirements. Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures and implement improvements through established change management processes.
Coordinate activities with suppliers, subcontractors, and other external resources in accordance with established project and contract management plans. Support product development and engineering activities by analyzing customer needs and delivering appropriate manufacturing solutions. Manage assigned engineering activities within established project plans, schedules, and goals. Provide technical support and guidance to help others effectively use engineering and knowledge management systems.
