Position Overview
The Anti-Money Laundering Group protects the bank from being exploited for laundering money or financing terrorism by designing and overseeing a system of controls to detect and report this activity. This team oversees the bank’s compliance with requirements set forth in the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the USA Patriot Act (USAPA) as well as sanctions set by the Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC).
As the BSA/AML Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and decisioning customer transactions that represent an increased risk for money laundering or terrorist financing, primarily utilizing an automated surveillance system.
- Analyze and decision customer transactions that represent increased risk for money laundering, terrorist financing, or other potentially illicit activity.
- Utilize an automated surveillance system (Verafin) to monitor transactions and identify potentially reportable suspicious activity.
- Prepare clear and concise dispositions on alerts, detailing any suspicious activity and/or providing rationale for why activity is not suspicious.
- Escalate potentially reportable suspicious activity to appropriate stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate records of transaction reviews and dispositions.
- Associate degree or a minimum of two years of industry‑relevant experience (frontline financial institution positions, customer contact, operational, compliance, and/or fraud investigation nature).
- Bonus points for familiarity with UMB core system navigation and AML surveillance system navigation (Verafin).

US Employees in all other states not listed above: $33,920 - $49,650
