Position: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health
Facility: UnityPoint Health - Finley Hospital
Location: 350 N Grandview Ave, Dubuque, IA 52001
Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12 hours, Night, Every 3rd weekend & holiday rotation
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week

PR: $28/Hour on W2 + $1242/Weekly

Gross Weekly: $2250

Key Responsibilities

Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care to psychiatric and behavioral health patients across adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including mental status exams, suicide risk, and behavioral evaluations.
Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary treatment team.
Administer medications and treatments as ordered, monitoring for therapeutic effects and adverse reactions.
Utilize de-escalation techniques to manage aggressive or disruptive behaviors and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.

Required Experience & Skills
Minimum 24 months of Behavioral Health / Psychiatric RN experience
Charge Nurse experience – REQUIRED

Experience with all age groups (Adolescent to Geriatric)
EPIC EMR experience – REQUIRED
First-time travelers must have completed at least one travel contract within the past 24 months

Certifications & Licensure
Active Iowa (IA) RN License or Compact/Multistate License – REQUIRED
BLS (AHA or ARC) – REQUIRED
De-escalation Certification (MOAB, MAB, CPI, or SAMA) – Highly Preferred
Can be obtained during onboarding if not active
