This pharmacist role offers an opportunity to contribute to patient care by ensuring accurate dispensing and promoting safe medication use. The position is based in Dubuque, IA, and operates on a contract basis, providing flexibility and a dynamic work environment.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday, with occasional Saturdays as needed
- Shift options: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM or 9:00 AM 6:00 PM
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispense medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of the manager
- Counsel and advise patients on their medications, proper usage, and regimen
- Maintain compliance with pharmacy laws and standards to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care
Qualifications:
- Active and clear Pharmacist license in the state of Iowa; temporary Iowa Pharmacist licenses are also accepted
- Minimum of 1+ years of experience working in a retail pharmacy setting
- Strong communication skills and patient-focused approach
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
