Supervisor III - Operations

Hourly pay range: $44.59

Location:

Dubuque, Iowa

• Achieve departmental and area goals related to delivery, quality, safety, and cost.
• Supervise semi‑skilled to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees on an assigned shift.
• Serve as first‑line liaison between production employees and management, representing company interests on the shop floor.
• Establish a positive employee environment with effective communication, feedback, and guidance.
• Ensure assigned personnel receive appropriate training, work instructions, and tools.
• Monitor Control Plans and troubleshoot workmanship issues to ensure product quality.
• Administer employee policies, procedures, practices, and work rules.
• Monitor individual and line performance; take corrective action or discipline as needed.
• Address employee complaints to ensure adherence to company policies and work rules.
• Determine production priorities and assign work daily, including filling vacancies and assigning overtime.
• Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime and asset utilization.
• Monitor department operating budget and make corrections to stay within targets.
• Lead and direct continuous improvement activities.
• Implement and monitor safety programs and uphold housekeeping standards.

• Prior experience supervising production, manufacturing, or maintenance teams.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, quality standards, and safety practices.
• Ability to administer policies and handle disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to guide employees effectively.
• Ability to analyze performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements.
• Experience organizing workload according to production schedules and priorities.
• Proven ability to support continuous improvement activities and drive operational excellence.
