Manufacturing Engineer – Actalent, Dubuque, IA

The primary focus of this role is to provide day‑to‑day line support and troubleshooting. The successful candidate will partner with operations, quality, maintenance, and supply chain functions to drive improvements in safety, quality, delivery, and cost.

• Collaborate closely with production teams to perform problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing lean manufacturing principles.
• Drive cost reductions and yield improvements.
• Utilize project management tools to enhance productivity.
• Improve equipment capability and reliability.
• Identify opportunities for error proofing and implement effective solutions.

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency in lean manufacturing and quality engineering.
• Experience with project management.
• 5‑10 years of industry experience preferred.

• Previous experience in an operations or maintenance role.
• Lean manufacturing green or black belt certification.

This is a dynamic engineering environment where the majority of the day is spent on the floor doing maintenance and troubleshooting while supporting production. For project support, expect to spend 50‑60% of the day on the floor. This is a contract position based out of Dubuque, IA.

The pay range for this position is $36.00–$58.00 per hour. Eligibility requirements may apply to some benefits and may depend on job classification and length of employment.
