** Pay Rate: $40.00 per hour (15-month contract)*
* ** Shift: 3rd shift, 10:30pm-6am, some Saturday work as required*
* ** What's a typical day as Team Leader? You'll be:*
* + Supervising semi to highly skilled production and/or maintenance employees to achieve departmental goals.
+ Serving as the first-line liaison between production staff and management, ensuring strong communication and guidance.
+ Monitoring safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency, and taking corrective actions-including discipline-when necessary.
+ Ensuring employees have appropriate training, work instructions, and tools for success.
+ Overseeing production activities to ensure products meet or exceed quality standards.
+ Managing daily staffing, employee moves, and assignments to meet production and warehousing requirements.
+ Administering employee policies, monitoring performance, and addressing complaints and issues as needed.
+ Leading safety initiatives, engaging in continuous improvement, and supporting factory goals such as 5S implementation and manpower planning.
** This job might be an outstanding fit if you:*
* + Have 2 or more years of experience in a unionized manufacturing environment (required).
+ Have 1 or more years of experience with manufacturing and quality management principles, tools, and processes (required).
+ Are willing and able to work overtime on weekdays or weekends as operational needs require.
+ Are an excellent communicator who thrives in problem-solving and team-based environments.
+ Possess strong decision-making skills and can be proactive in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.
+ Have experience conducting crucial conversations and enforcing company policies and procedures.
+ Can effectively communicate across multiple functions, such as supply management, engineering, and operations.
