Die Setter

Express Employment Professionals is actively seeking a skilled Die Setter to join the team of a local company.

The typical work hours for this position are from 5:00 am to 1:20 pm, with the possibility of overtime until 3:20 pm and occasional Saturdays. The starting wage for this role is $24.61per hour.

• Conduct machine set-up
• Utilize a forklift to move and position dies in presses, making necessary manual adjustments with die bars, hands, and hand tools
• Set materials in stands using a forklift and remove banding from materials
• Operate presses and maintain adequate lubrication levels
• Dump scrap into the hopper
• Inspect materials for defects or issues, utilizing various measurement and inspection tools such as micrometers, rulers, verniers, gauges, and plugs
• Run sample parts for Quality Team Inspections
• Complete required paperwork accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
• Assist colleagues with set-ups as needed

• Previous experience as a Die Setter, Press Operator, or in a metal manufacturing environment preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with hand tools and machinery
• Forklift experience required (certification preferred but not required)
• Ability to read and use measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers/verniers, and gauges
• Basic math and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
