Overview
Shift: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, for 80 hours per pay period.
We are seeking an experienced and compassionate RN Nurse Manager to lead our Family Birthing Suites team. This role is responsible for overseeing daily clinical operations, ensuring high‑quality patient care, and supporting a collaborative, patient‑centered environment for mothers, newborns, and families. The ideal candidate combines strong clinical expertise in maternal‑child health with proven leadership and operational management skills.

Responsibilities- Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff within the Family Birthing Suites
- Ensure delivery of safe, high‑quality, evidence‑based patient care
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation to meet patient needs
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and interdisciplinary teams
- Oversee compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Support staff development through coaching, education, and performance evaluations
- Monitor and improve patient satisfaction, quality outcomes, and safety metrics
- Manage departmental budget and operational efficiency
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
Experience:
- 3‑4 years of previous Managerial experience and/or 3‑4 years of OB experience
Certification/License:
- Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa
