Family First is hiring RNs and LPNs to provide 1:1 pediatric private‑duty care for a young client in Hudson, Iowa.

Location:

Hudson, Iowa. Availability: full‑time nights, PRN days, and flexible scheduling. Start of care: urgent / immediate.

• Medication administration
• G‑tube / enteral feedings
• VP shunt monitoring
• Trach and ventilator care

Hourly wage: $2/hour with a shift differential for shifts worked between 7:00PM and 7:00AM. Paid weekly.

• Experience with trach and ventilator care encouraged, but not required.
• Comfortable managing G‑tube feedings (training may be available).
• Reliable, attentive, and committed to consistent scheduling.

• Accountable for providing care that is based on licensure/certification within the scope of practice.
• Maintain an updated clinical record on each patient at all times, meeting required deadlines for documentation.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing service to the patient and family on an ongoing basis.
• Consult with physicians concerning alterations of patient care plans and document all changes.
• Report all changes in care to the nurse supervisor.
• Support FFHC’s mission by mentoring and/or coaching new employees during patient‑specific orientations.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on topics related to patients’ care needs.
• Participate in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement program (QAPI) as requested.
• Continually strive to improve nursing care skills.
• Attend and/or complete all mandatory training/in‑services as assigned.
• Submit required personnel file documentation in a timely manner.
• Adhere to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations.
• Maintain patient and family confidentiality.
• Maintain professional, supportive, and responsive interpersonal communication skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• LPN/LVN nursing degree.
• Unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment or multistate license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact where recognized.
• 1 year of demonstrated experience.
• Valid driver license with proof of insurance in applicable states.
• Clear background screening.
• Working knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts.
• Valid and current CPR card/certificate with in‑person instructor‑led hands‑on skills check.
• Clear Hep B screening in applicable states.
• Clear TB screening in applicable states.

• The ability to read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.

• Work is performed in the patient’s home, not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
• Training may be performed in an office setting.
• Must be able to lift up to fifty pounds (50lb) without an assisted lifting device.
• Frequent use of office machines including telephone, computer, and printer.
