Overview
Family First Homecare provides exceptional homecare services to children with life‑long health conditions, focusing on a 1:1 pediatric private duty model in Dubuque, Iowa and surrounding areas.
Service AreasDubuque, Bellevue, Maquoketa, Iowa.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive nursing services, adhering to Family First Homecare policy, state Nurse Practice Acts, and applicable state and federal regulations.
- Maintain updated clinical records for each patient and meet required documentation deadlines.
- Evaluate effectiveness of nursing services and consult with physicians regarding changes to care plans.
- Document all changes in care to nurse supervisor.
- Support FFHC’s mission by mentoring or coaching new employees during patient‑specific orientations.
- Educate patients and caregivers on patient‑care topics.
- Participate in FFHC Quality Assurance, Performance Improvement program (QAPI) as requested.
- Continuously improve nursing care skills and attend all mandatory training/in‑services.
- Submit required personnel file documentation in a timely manner.
- Adhere to FFHC compliance and ethics expectations, maintain patient and family confidentiality, and communicate professionally and responsively.
- LPN/LVN Nursing Degree and an unencumbered LPN/LVN license in the state of employment (or Multi‑State license through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact).
- Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience.
- Valid driver license with proof of insurance in applicable states.
- Clear background screening.
- Knowledge of Nurse Practice Acts.
- Valid and current CPR card/certificate with in‑person instructor‑led hands‑on skills check.
- Clear Hep B screening and TB screening in applicable states.
- Ability to read and communicate in English both verbally and in writing.
Hourly wage: $2 per hour with a shift differential for shifts worked between 7:00PM and 7:00AM. Benefits offered with full‑time positions include:
