As an LPN Charge Nurse you will coordinate and direct the provision of high quality nursing care services to the residents on one or more nursing stations. You will ensure that residents are helped to function at their highest practical level of living and that each resident’s comprehensive care plan is in accordance with their ongoing needs assessment, the medical treatment prescribed by their physician, and Stonehill’s administrative policies and professional nursing/pharmacy procedures.

You will administer medications and prescribed treatments to residents, assure proper record keeping and charting is done each shift in an accurate and timely manner, and perform other duties as assigned.

Shift: 1st Shift

Status:
Full-Time (60-80 hours per pay period)

This position will be a weekend package, scheduled every weekend for two consecutive days (e.g., Saturday & Sunday). Shift time will be 1st shift, 8‑hour or 12‑hour shifts. The weekend package rate is 1.5 times the employee’s base rate. This position also requires every other holiday, with holiday pay at a rate of double the employee’s base pay rate.

• Completion of a professional course of study in nursing and attainment of an Iowa LPN License.
• Demonstrated proficiency in professional nursing practices, procedures, and application of technical knowledge to care for elderly residents.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in the use of standard nursing charting procedures.
• Caring and compassionate attitude towards others.

Sign on bonus available for individuals hired 40 hours or more per pay period (paid over two years). Referral bonus also available.
