The Nurse at TRI STATE DIALYSIS provides direct patient care to individuals receiving dialysis treatment in an on‑site clinical setting located in Dubuque, IA. This full‑time role includes assessing patient condition, monitoring vital signs, administering prescribed medications, and operating dialysis equipment in accordance with clinical protocols and safety standards. The Nurse collaborates with nephrologists and other healthcare professionals to support treatment plans, document care accurately, and respond to changes in patient status.
Daily responsibilities also involve patient education on treatment and self‑care, maintaining infection control practices, and contributing to a supportive, respectful environment for patients and colleagues.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa and compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements
- Clinical experience in dialysis, nephrology, or related acute or chronic care settings preferred, but not required. On‑the‑job training.
- Strong skills in patient assessment, care planning, and safe medication administration
- Ability to learn and operate dialysis equipment, follow clinical protocols, and maintain infection control standards
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care teams
- Demonstrated reliability, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced clinical environment
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required;
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification a plus - Commitment to inclusive, non‑discriminatory patient care and maintaining patient dignity and confidentiality
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development
