Overview

Mercy One Dubuque Medical Center is a 25‑bed critical access hospital in Clayton County, Iowa, providing a life‑saving link to rural communities. It operates a 24/7 emergency department staffed by board‑certified physicians and advanced providers and is a Level IV Trauma Center.

We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses to join our team. RNs must hold an active Iowa license, possess at least an associate’s degree in nursing, and continuously seek professional development. Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing and national certification.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Valid Iowa RN license.
• Certification by a nationally recognized nursing organization preferred and encouraged.
• Membership in a professional nursing organization recommended.
• Completion of Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter.

• Provision of caring relationships that facilitate health and healing.
• Attention to the range of human experiences and responses to health, disease, and illness.
• Integration of objective data with patient subjective experience.
• Application of scientific knowledge to diagnosis and treatment using judgment and critical thinking.
• Advancement of nursing knowledge through scholarly inquiry.
• Influence of social and public policy to promote social justice.
