Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients, postpartum mothers, and newborns in the Labor & Delivery unit. Monitor maternal and fetal conditions throughout labor, delivery, and recovery. Manage and titrate medications including Pitocin, Magnesium, Insulin, and glucose-related therapies. Perform fetal monitoring, assessments, and interventions based on patient status. Assist physicians and providers during vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and emergency procedures. Provide postpartum care including maternal assessments, education, and newborn care support.
Care for antepartum patients, mother-baby patients, and newborn/NICU patients. Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC EMR. Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and multidisciplinary healthcare staff. Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and evidence-based L&D practices.
Active RN License (IA license required before start date). Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience preferred. Strong experience with Labor & Delivery nursing, postpartum care, newborn care, fetal monitoring, high-risk OB patients, C-section recovery. Experience managing/titrating Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, Insulin, Glucose management. EPIC experience preferred. Must be willing to work night shifts, every 4th weekend, holiday rotation (1-2 upcoming summer holidays if unit remains open).

No local candidates within 90 miles of Finley Hospital.

Labor: 1:1, Postpartum: 1:2, NICU: 2:1. Delivery Volume: 50-60 births/month. Patient Population:
Antepartum, Mother/Baby, Newborn, OB/GYN, NICU.
