This Safety Manager will be responsible for leading the implementation of strategic environmental health & safety (EHS) processes and is responsible for fostering safety and prevention at their home site and across the Supply Chain network.

- Works to achieve, maintain, monitor, and report on all EHS performance metrics
- Assist in the development and maintenance of EHS-related site-specific written program and procedures
- Evaluate and investigate incident and accident trends
- Work with Engineering/Facilities teams and leaders in advance of new equipment and processes implementation
- Oversee the development and implementation of strategies, policies, and procedures for the Supply Chain Safety Program to ensure a safe and healthy building
- Oversee the successful implementation of the site's Safety Committee and Behavior Based Safety teams
- Inspect building on a regular basis to identify potential safety and health hazards, including conducting environmental, health, and safety audits of the facility
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all state/federal safety and fire laws
- Oversee site inspections and responses to regulatory agencies
- Execution of the Hazardous Waste Program including weekly inspections of storage areas, regulatory inspections, training, manifest record retention, and overall oversight of the hazardous program
- Support regulatory reports in compliance with local, state, and federal agencies
- Monitor construction projects to ensure compliance
- Ensure facility remains in compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Plan and control budgeted EHS expenditures seeking ways to minimize spend without sacrificing effectiveness of EHS policies or programs
- Implement EHS audits at the site, identifying gaps and developing action plans
- Support EHS network-wide audits and initiatives
- Build trust and confidence with the cross functional operations teams, and influence change through providing comprehensive risk assessments and safety data analysis
- Partner with the Training Team and other key stakeholders on key safety elements of Virtual Training Guides (VTG's)
- Provides support for the on-site athletic trainer and partner with the trainers to proactively address safety risk
- Bachelor's degree in Safety, Health, Engineering or related discipline preferred
- 7+ years' experience in Safety or Occupational Safety and Health (preferred)
- ASP certification or higher (preferred)
- Experience working effectively as a team member by attentively listening to and sharing information with others to facilitate a cooperative work environment, specifically leading a team for safety in a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of Environmental regulations
- Knowledge of Hazardous Waste
- Knowledge of OSHA Regulations as stated in 29 CFR, Title 29
- Strong organization, time management, and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Competency in the basic use and application of safety instruments
- The ability to work with little direction and resourceful with good problem-solving skills
$68,500.00 - $ Annual
