Product Demonstrator (Part Time) – 4973

Company: Product Connections (a division of Acosta Group)

Overview

As an in‑store Product Demonstrator, you will complete food and non‑food product demonstrations, acquire product knowledge, prepare, serve, and break down samples, and engage consumers in a professional manner. You must maintain a clean, safe work area and uphold a professional appearance consistent with company standards.

Pay Rate

$15.00 per hour (maximum 25 hours per week; scheduling may vary by business need).

Responsibilities
  • Gain adequate knowledge of all represented products.
  • Proactively intercept and engage consumers, selling products positively.
  • Communicate product features and benefits effectively.
  • Prepare and serve food samples using small appliances such as microwaves, fryers, skillets, coffee makers, and knives.
  • Maintain a clean, sterile, and safe workstation with cleaning chemicals.
  • M sustain a professional appearance.
  • Set up and prepare the event table before execution.
  • Achieve 100% completion of assigned work.
  • Assist with preparation for client visits and complete audit corrections.
  • Build rapport with store personnel to meet company and client objectives.
  • Complete expense reports as per company policy.
  • Submit all online requirements on the same day as event execution.
  • Access the internet, navigate company systems, use Microsoft Outlook, and view assigned documents (Word, PDF).
Qualifications
  • Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED; 1–3 months relevant experience/training preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency with personal computer or mobile device, applications, and internal systems.
  • Certificates: Local food handler permit may be required.
  • Physical Demands: Regular standing and walking, hand use, reach up to 65 inches, occasional lifting up to 50 pounds, push/pull demonstration cart, cleaning supply contact.
  • Supervisory Responsibilities: None.
  • Work Environment: Retail store; limited travel.
  • Physical Appearance: Professional grooming and retailer dress code compliance.
  • Language Skills: English required; bilingual skills may be required.
