Dairy Clerk

Responsible for rotating and replenishing merchandise, maintaining quality standards, and providing courteous customer service within the Dairy Department.

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting, assisting, and addressing customers by name when possible.
• Escort customers to products, secure items that are out of reach, and lift or unload heavy products.
• Accept and route customer suggestions or requests, performing additional tasks to enhance the shopping experience.
• Answer telephone calls promptly and provide helpful service to callers.
• Rotate and replenish merchandise, ensuring highest quality standards are met.
• Unload trucks and place product in appropriate storage areas; face merchandise.
• Maintain cleanliness in the department: clean cases, sweep floor, and keep the area free of obstacles.
• Build and fill end‑cap displays throughout the week as needed.
• Place orders for product and supplies requested by the department manager.
• Maintain organization of storage areas, ensuring a slip‑free floor, consistent temperature, and proper product storage.
• Adhere strictly to department and company guidelines on personal hygiene and dress.
• Report to work on time and follow all expressed schedules.

• Participate in physical inventories (monthly and quarterly).
• Check invoices against delivered product when requested.
• Assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Perform other job‑related duties and special projects as required.

• Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization and interpret instructions.
• Basic arithmetic skills: simple addition and subtraction for counting and recording.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions and communicate requests orally or in writing.
• High school education or equivalent experience; less than six months of similar or related experience acceptable.

• Physical ability to perform medium work with up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force continuously.
• Perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
• Visual requirements: clarity of vision from a distance less than 20 inches to 20 feet, with or without correction, and depth perception.

• Box cutter, two‑wheeler, ice cream carts, milk dollies, cash register, intercom, calculator, pallet jack, RPM tray.

• Continuous exposure to noise, temperature extremes, dirt, and dampness, with occasional equipment movement hazards.
• Fast‑paced work environment.

Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a pre‑employment drug screen.
