Position Summary

Lead and develop teams by providing training, coaching, and feedback to associate teams. Foster a culture of customer service excellence, maintain operational standards, and drive store performance through financial and merchandising initiatives. Manage employee hiring, training, performance management, and create a workplace that embraces diversity and belonging.

• Teach, train, and actively listen to associates while touring stores and providing feedback.
• Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and company initiatives.
• Lead company change efforts, set clear expectations, and guide implementation of business solutions.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards using the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
• Support and manage customer service initiatives, resolve customer complaints, and develop action plans to improve service quality.
• Analyze and monitor profit and loss statements, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial performance and sales goals are achieved.
• Oversee merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit targets.
• Supervise hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, and providing recognition.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and the Open Door policy, and promote ethical conduct.
• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to meet customer and business needs, set and measure goals, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Promote a culture of belonging, respect diversity, and empower associates to thrive.
• Act with integrity, consider customer first, and support Walmart’s regenerative mission.

• 2 years of college; or 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; or 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For firearms‑selling facilities: completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For ammunition‑selling facilities: a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility, if required by state.
• Complete all job‑required trainings and assessments, such as Academy and Open Door trainings.

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership.
• Experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
