• Review daily orders and ensure an adequate food supply is ready and on hand.
• Prepare, finish, and replenish bakery products; pull product from cooler/freezer, check in product, put away, and review invoices.
• Run the department registers, accept payments, and make change.
• Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, and addressing suggestions or requests.
• Promote a positive company image by exhibiting caring, concern, patience, and treating customers as the most important.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area; follow proper sanitation procedures.
• Wash dishes, order supplies, price products, deliver orders as needed, and assist in other store areas.
• Work as a team with co‑workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment.
• Adhere to company policies, guidelines on personal hygiene, dress, and safety.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.

• Less than high school or equivalent; six months of similar work experience.
• Ability to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions, perform simple addition and subtraction.
• Strong customer service orientation, friendly, caring, and patient.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, 10 pounds constantly.
• Visual requirement: clear vision at distances greater than 20 inches to less than 20 feet, color vision, depth perception, field of vision.
• Can perform tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

• Basic math skills: simple addition and subtraction.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to request supplies orally or in writing.
• Experience using bakery equipment: mixers, ovens, wrappers, label printers, cash registers, dishwashers, bread slicers, electric knives, microwaves, airbrushes, copy cats.

The duties for this position are normally conducted in a store environment with significant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Exposure to flour dust, noise, cleaning chemicals/solvents, electrical shock, and temperature extremes. Must be able to perform physical tasks such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.
