General Function:
As a Mia Italian Clerk, this position will be responsible for taking orders from customers over the telephones or counter, receiving products requested by the department manager, checking to make sure orders are correct, and providing courteous, friendly, and efficient customer service to customers and team members.

District Store Director, Store Manager, Assistant Managers of Perishables, Store Operations, and Health Wellness Home;
Food Service Director;

Provides prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern, and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store. Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, learns customers’ names and addresses them by name whenever possible. Assists customers by escorting them to the products they’re looking for, securing out‑of‑reach items, loading or unloading heavy items, noting and passing on customer suggestions or requests, and performing other tasks to enhance the shopping experience.

Answers the telephone promptly and takes customer orders at the counter. Works with co‑workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment. Understands and practices proper sanitation procedures, keeps the work area clean, reviews food freshness, prepares pizza toppings, orders breads, receives and verifies product, pre‑bakes pizza crust, maintains supply availability, prepared, finishes, and replenishes product as necessary, inventories the cold case, runs the department registers and handles payment, removes trash promptly, adheres to personal hygiene and dress guidelines, follows company policies, reports to work on time, and meets all other departmental standards of performance.

Orders product requested by the department manager; prepares pizza dough and bread sticks when necessary; pulls old product from the case and replaces it with new product; assists in other areas of the store as needed; performs other job‑related duties and special projects as required.

Must be able to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions; perform simple addition and subtraction, copy figures, count and record numbers. Must understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions, write identifying information, request supplies orally or in writing.

High school diploma or equivalent experience and no more than six months of similar or related experience.

• Exert up to 20–25 pounds of force occasionally; up to 10 pounds frequently; negligible force constantly.
• Perform activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Continual exposure to flour, dust, noise, and temperature extremes; occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals/solvents; fast paced work environment with significant pressure.
