Position: Facilities & Maintenance Lead — Multi-Location Restaurants

Jam Restaurant Group is currently seeking a dedicated Maintenance & Facilities Manager to take charge of day-to-day maintenance and repair operations for all of our restaurant locations. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth functioning of our restaurants by addressing critical maintenance issues, implementing preventive maintenance procedures, and optimizing the performance of restaurants. Our company is growing rapidly and we are searching for someone who can ensure our current and future facilities and equipment are operating at peak efficiency to support our expansion, ease frustration for the team and guests and uphold our high performance standards.

Maintenance

Management
  • Ensure all restaurants maintain a high standard of functionality, cleanliness, and safety by managing regular maintenance and repair schedules for HVAC units, fryers, toasters, and other hot holding equipment, coolers, freezers, plumbing, electrical systems, and more.
Vendor Coordination
  • Work with approved and pre‑negotiated third‑party vendors for repairs, maintenance, and service contracts, ensuring timely and cost‑effective solutions.
Preventive Maintenance Program
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all facilities to reduce equipment failures and minimize downtime, on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to ensure the optimal lifespan of equipment.
Compliance & Safety
  • Ensure all JAM restaurants comply with local building codes, health and safety regulations, and internal standards. Oversee, schedule and validate all inspections and certifications, such as fire safety and health department inspections.
Equipment Ordering
  • Advise Leadership on equipment purchases/replacement, and schedule and track delivery and installation in restaurants with Restaurant General Managers.
Budget Management
  • Manage the facilities budget, ensuring cost‑effective spending on repairs, maintenance, and capital improvements. Monitor and control expenses to stay within budget guidelines.
Emergency Response
  • Act as the point of contact for emergency maintenance situations, ensuring a quick and effective response to issues like equipment breakdowns, power outages, or structural problems.
Team Leadership
  • Oversee and coordinate with maintenance personnel at various locations. Provide training on equipment handling, safety procedures, and repair processes.
Education and Experience
  • Previous experience in facilities management within the restaurant or hospitality industry, minimum 3 years in HVAC or Electrical repair required.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree (not required).
  • Either HVAC or Electrician certification required (apprentice and above, strong preference for journeyman license).
